Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in the style that is his own. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and at festivals in Europe as well as the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine Her real name is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church where she sang and was a pianist. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training on the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals Stalk You the House came out only in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and it is a mainstay of her live show. Her voice also appeared on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. The band was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) was approached for an opportunity to be the director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became famous during the four daily performances in 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine went on to sing during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
