Charissa is an American Sportscaster born on 5th May, 1982. ESPN analyst hired as co-host for SportsNation in 2012. She hosted ABC's Splash alongside Joey Lawrence. Thompson, who was raised and born in Seattle Washington, hosted Splash on ABC. Since her early years she knew that her ultimate goal was to be a broadcaster. She graduated from Inglemoor High School located in Kenmore Washington. Thompson attended California for community college to gain California residency. Thompson later enrolled at her home at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she graduated with an B.A. Law and Society, in 2004. While Sports Illustrated wrote she left Washington State (WSU) in order to take a class at a community college located in California before transferring onto UC Santa Barbara Thompson has confirmed that she was not a student at WSU. Thompson was approached by Sports Illustrated via email before she commenced her work as an sportscaster. They gave her an opportunity to be sprayed in body paint for a Swimsuit issue. She is the singer in charge of New York based group Against the Current recorded the EP Infinity the following year. First recognized by their YouTube covers. Together with Against the Current, they collaborated with She. Against the Current also worked with Alex Goot to cover Good Time by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen. The collaboration allowed them to increase their recognition. Their popularity was increased by their Good Time album cover featuring Owl City's Carly Rae Jepsen.
